Diet and exercise can go a long way in helping to reduce high blood pressure in most patients.  There are many over-the-counter and prescription treatment options available, however, when traditional options don’t seem to be working, perhaps one might try Qi gong or acupressure as a means of treatment.

Making simple diet changes can help to cleanse the cardiovascular system

Liver energy stagnation is a common problem within the United States.  Holding in strong emotions and feelings create additional inner stress, which can make the condition worse.  Liver stagnation can also contribute to many other health conditions.

Other conditions that liver stagnation may lead to include:

-  nervous system disorders

-  allergies

-  lumps

-  swelling

-  distended abdomen

-  chest or breast issues

-  chronic indigestion

-  menstrual problems

-  neck stress and back tension

-  fatigue

-  rigid inflexible body

-  eye problems

-  skin disorders

-  slow to rise in the morning

-  muscular pin

-  tendon problems

-  emotional repression

-  anger

-  frustration

-  resentment

-  impatience

-  edginess

-  depression

-  moodiness

-  impulsiveness

-  emotional attachments

-  poor judgment

-  indecision

-  negativity

To clear this up, it is important that the patient eat less at all meals.  Avoid this step if you are suffering from malnutrition.  Also, avoid eating late at night.  Eat a diet rich in whole grains and vegetables with plenty of fiber.  Avoid eating saturated fat, such as fatty meat, eggs and cheese.  Also, avoid eating hydrogenated and processed foods.  Always avoid unnecessary prescription drugs.

Bitter foods are great for cleansing the arteries and the heart.  Eat with caution if you suffer from heart symptoms.  If you have a tendency to have strokes, heart attack, muscle spasms or twitches, avoid eating buckwheat.  Other foods that can be eaten to eliminate cardiovascular problems include legumes, grains, vegetables, turmeric, vinegar, basil, rosemary, nutmeg, sweet rice, spearmint, peach seed, egg plant and white pepper.  Nuts and seeds to eat include almond, hazelnut, chest nut, flaxseed, chia seed, pumpkin seed, poppy seed, walnut and sunflower sprouts.

Acupressure can be an excellent way to help your high blood pressure.  You can look up some information online or purchase or check out a book from your local library regarding the proper pressure points.  Otherwise, seek out the professional help of an acupressure specialist.
